Industrial Automation

Industrial Automation encompasses several control systems including SCADA, PLCs and HMI

SCADA

SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) is a control system used by many industries: Water, Power, Energy, Manufacturing and more.

HMI

SCADA systems utilize HMI (human-machine interface) software which allows users to control machines and devices that it is connected to, such as pumps, motors and valves.

PLCs

PLCs (programmable logic controllers) receive their information from sensors or valves. This data can be used to improve building efficiency to save time and money.

Integration Solutions
QuickServer
QuickServer

There are two primary designs of the QuickServer. The FS-QS-1010 is BTL Marked and includes two serial ports and one Ethernet port. This enables it to communicate serial-serial, serial-Ethernet or Ethernet-Ethernet. The FS-QS-1011 includes one serial port, one Ethernet port and one LonWorks port. This enables it to communicate serial-serial, serial-Ethernet, Ethernet-Ethernet, serial-LonWorks or Ethernet-LonWorks.

QuickServer Key Features:

• Ability to interface up to 250 points (500 points on the FS-QS-12XX)
• Multi-configuration capability; specific configurations selectable via DIP switches or software
• Flat panel mount standard, DIN rail mount option
• DIP switches to select baud rate or node ID on the fly

Lighting Controls
Systems

With Leviton Sector all devices work together. Ideal for new construction and retrofit applications, Leviton's Sector intelligent ballast and lighting control system combines occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, and flexible lighting control functionality. At the front-end the SectorNET software package enables customization of the lighting controls operation to meet end-user needs. Leviton SystemsFacility personnel can make system adjustments utilizing the drag-and-drop user interface. The Leviton Sector lighting system is an ideal solution for schools, recreational facilities, government offices, and all other locations that would benefit from controlled, consistent lighting.

Controllers

The Sector Network Bus Controller is an all-in-one device, combining intelligence and power supply, can control up to 64 devices, and is quick and easy to install. A greatLeviton Controllers feature is that it can be conveniently configured remotely using the SectorNET software. The Sector 0 – 10v Ballast Controller performs on multiple levels by controlling the ballasts that are installed to provide the lighting conditions in nearly any environment. Ideal for specific lighting requirements that require specialization – classrooms, call centers, or environments that need specific fixture-by-fixture control. The system network supports 'daisy-chain' wiring techniques to interconnect all the devices on the network. There are no special termination or installation requirements to this system; furthermore it's easy to set-up and commission.

Relay Panels

The GreenMAX relay panel has a 25,000A at 277VAC Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) for increased reliability and GreenMax Relay Paneldurability. Native communication network protocols – BACnet/IP, Ethernet, and LumaCAN – are built into each GreenMAX Command Module (processor) to offer unparalleled connectivity. For increased flexibility, the modular GreenMAX system includes separate Cabinet enclosures, Command Modules (processor, power supply, and low voltage inputs), Relay Insert Panels, Relay Modules, and a Handheld Display Unit (HDU).

Benefit

The rise in 'smart buildings' has generated a need to bring together the multiple control systems that are dedicated to their specific application in a building. Whether it's lighting controls, fire/life safety controls, security access controls, customers turn to a Building Automation System (BAS) to bring all of these components together. Calderwood specializes in supplying and installing a BAS that can integrate various control systems. Having the flexibility to manage lighting, card access, heating and air conditioning equipment based on occupancy, or some other influence, is vastly becoming a customers' expectation.
